I was skeptical at first as you have to sign in to ebates, then it links you to stores...so you are still signed in to them . This makes me wonder if you could risk your security while on the store site using credit cards.......but , we checked it out via multiple sources and it seemed legitimate. DH is a computer network admin and he also did some research and although he doesn't like the idea, he couldn't find any reports of problems.
We decided to go ahead and try it with limited credit cards used. The percentage cash back earned has been up to 6%sometimes, so that is a nice additional discount on items that are pricey..like our favorite bags..............So far no problems and we have earned cash back on holiday gifts we would have bought anyway, so why not get the cash back? I also found coupon deals for many places we shop online at regularly, including the Q,Macys, Dillards, Boscovs, BBW etc. The list is huge.
Now, I am a believer that if it seems to good to be true...it probably is...If anyone here has used ebates and has any information about problems associated with it, if it caused any security risks with your bank info etc, I would appreciate any sharing...thanks...
