Disagree - these bags are the BEST! I own one with a wallet, and just ordered another one. They are very well made, the leather is so soft, and they appear perfect in every way. I've enjoyed hearing the son of the owner discuss and show how these bags are made, and the attention to detail is apparent. I've had many compliments on mine, which has a Geisha on it.

I absolutely LOVE the Anushka bag my husband (wink, wink) got me for Christmas. He resisited when I told him I had picked out a bag online, but I told him I wanted it badly and I would never buy it for myself for no reason. So he relented. I got it from Amazon, and it's the shoulder strap asymmetrical style bag. Has peacock feathers and animal prints painted on it. It goes well with nearly everything, and I mostly wear solid colors anyway.

It's funny- people either love it or don't, but nearly everybody comments on it and remembers it. I live in a small town and I don't believe I've ever seen an Anushka here. I hope it lasts forever!

Love them! I have a tote that I carry to work everyday. Always get compliments. I ordered their TSV in the tulip design. I have three handbags as well.

I've had two (small shoulder bag and large tote) for six months and am happy with them. The leather is nice and soft and thinner than some bags, making them light weight and easy to carry. The lining is beautiful and the zippers work great. The colors are deeper and richer than what you see on TV. I've had no problems with the paint fading or running, carrying them in rain and snow. They're not for everyone but if these wild colored free spirited designs are calling you, I urge you to try one because they are well made, quality bags.

They sell a product that you can spray on the bags to protect them; however, I read some comments in another blog where it apparently has petroleum distillates in it, and makes the bags really stink, and also darkens the paint. Not worth using it, in my opinion.

I'm glad to hear these are good quality bags. I'm not shopping for one now but I always thing it would be nice to have one. They look beautiful.

Love these. I own two bags and an eyeglass case - the small Leopard in Paradise which always gets a ton of compliments, a floral and the very well-drawn, flirting, Passionate Peacocks. My next purchase is the American Mustang when it comes back in stock. These are absolutely lovely, very well constructed bags with lightweight leather and the color does not run in the rain. The lining is equally well made. I'm really stunned that someone can say "Leather is cheap and thin. Gave them both to Goodwill. I can't believe I saw some if them go for well over 300 dollars. They are total junk." At about $150 per bag, why did the person not immediately return them instead of donating and incur a substantial $$$$$$ loss?? "Total Junk" is quite a overly dramatic statement. Do a try buy and I don't think you'll enjoy.

I agree with you Shogirl - Anuschka's bags are indeed the best! And I also have a Geisha bag, pictured below, which is even more prettier in person. In addition, I have a beautiful Tattoo Rose print bag (also below) featured a few years ago on ShopNBC (now ShopHQ). A famous Italian handbag designer had similar Tattoo Rose print bags around that time, but the Anushka version was definitely the better one!

I just received the tulip bag and I am thrilled with it! The colors are fabulous. It has lots of compartments and it is a comfortable size! I am not allowed to use it because it is a very early 43rd wedding anniversary gift from my very dear husband. He never knows what to give me and when he saw how much I liked this particular bag he looked at me and said ""done deal - you love it.I think it is nice and I Don't have to worry about your anniversary present anymore!"" I am very patient and will dream about my present for the next few months! Now I have to figure out what to give him!:-)

Congrats on your (almost) 43 years together! And what a great gift to celebrate it with--that Tulip bag is gorgeous. Hope you find the perfect gift for hubby.
