Did you ever notice ... that no matter what the shoe looks like, host or vendor will say that it elongates the leg for most footwear?

Today's TSV has just been so described.

I remember hearing the elongation comment as far back as the 1950's in the small PA town of my long-gone youth.  It's not anything new.

BTW-  I think it's true in many cases.

I gues it makes sense because a short shoe shows more leg.I think they just run out of selling points so they all stick to what works.

I know it's nothing new  ... the point is that QVC is using it where that's not the case  .... in many cases.

Booties do the exact opposite of elongating ones leg...not sure who said that but they are mistaken🙄

@ALRATIBAI certainly won't argue that point with you, if for no other reason than that I rarely watch when they're showing shoes -  with my feet, buying locally is close to mandatory.

With the right pair of trousers, I can see that slit in the side and the pointy toe elongating the leg line  - but if they are showing that thing with a skirt, no way.  Haven't been watching QVC.

I have very short legs.. As a kid, I always wanted to get shoes with straps across the ankle (think Mary Janes)and my mother always told me that "they cut off your leg and make it look short" Her premise was that pumps without ankle strapsthat show your foot were the most elongating..In my opinion, booties cut you off at the ankle and make your legs look short...
