American Tradition?

I finally purchased, well hubby bought as anniversary gift, a Dooney& Bourke purse. I received one of the crossbody Disney bags. I was looking through the DB website and noticed they say "an American Tradition" since 1971?...when I started the registration process for my purse, the tag inside says "assembled in MEXICO"! How is that an American Tradition? Well, I suppose these days that is the American tradition...farm everthing out to the foreign countries as our factories, etc. shutdown. Just a little disappointed. {#emotions_dlg.sad}
