I have foot problems from wearing high heels for so many years.  I have very flat feet also and need good arch support.  I've read good things about Alegria and have found some sandals that I would like to try.  I wear a size 8 shoe and usually wear a 38 in European sizes.

In comfort shoes, I like Pikolinos and Romika.  I do wish comfort shoes were more attractive.  I don't understand why they can't be.  This pair of Alegria sandals that I've found are fairly cute.  Do Alegria run true to size?  Are they comfortable like I think they'll be?

@NickNack  As a matter of fact I'm wearing a pair of Alegria boots right now.  At home I have a couple pairs of the shoes with the rocker technology (purchased from Q), and I love them.  I am also planning on ordering the TSV sandals coming up on 2/11.  Like you, I have flat feet and need arch support.  I'm a devoted Birkenstock wearer, if that tells you anything.  My normal shoe size is a 9 (I don't wear socks), and I do wear a 39 in the Alegrias (I also have thin, narrow feet).  The only drawback with this line is that they really make my feet sweat because of the thick soles.

Thanks for your reply @2blonde.  I'm going to order the sandals that I found on Amazon.  They are on sale for $65, which seems to be a great price for Alegrias.  I'm glad to hear that they work for your narrow foot, because some of the reviews said that Alegrias run wide, and I'm a medium width.  I'll order my regular size 38.  If these work for me, I'll get the upcoming TSV, too.  They're pretty cute.

@NickNack  Yes that sounds like a good price.  I have also purchased through Amazon and gotten similar pricing.

I wear a size 7 US and am a 37 in Alegrias, if that helps.

Thank you @faeriemoon.  It sounds like they run true to size.  I'm a size 8 and ordered a 38.  I hope they'll fit.

@NickNack, I have about 7 pairs and IMO, they run a little wide.  I usually wear the # equivalent to size 7, clogs, sandals and one Mary Jane.  I have to wear sox with the clogs and if it's a little cool, I can wear sox with the sandals.  My clogs have stretched over time.  This brand is very, very comfortable.  I love them.

Thanks for your reply @Mmsfoxxie.  The sandals that I ordered have three straps with a buckle on the last strap.  Maybe I could adjust them a little bit that way.  I hope they aren't too wide.  I hope they'll ship quickly.  I'm really anxious to try them even though I won't be able to wear them for several months.

Re: Alegria sandals

[ Edited ]

@NickNack  I have the same foot problems as you and own at least a dozen pairs of Alegrias.   I buy most on the discount section of the Alegria website or on Zulily.   I wear a size 11 and always order a 42, which is what the size chart says I should order.   They always fit fine.

I wear a medium width and am on the narrow side of it; I've never had them be too wide.
