I ALWAYS read the name of Alegria as Algeria when I first see it. And I'm not even dyslexic.

I got a pair last year and wore them all winter as my "house shoes." Love them! They do mold to your foot, but I find them just as comfortable as I did when I first started wearing them.

I didn't know you could replace the foot bed! That's good to know.

I see a lot of Alegria shoes on hospital staff. Before they advanced the line to include some of the new prints and sandals I always thought of them as work shoes. That's not a knock because I know hospital workers spend most of their shift on their feet (standing and moving around), so supportive comfortable shoes are a must.

I like the sandals I saw when I flipped past ANtonella shoe hour.

My objection to Alegria is that they look HUGE when you wear an 11. I feel as though if I had oars, they make good boats. I think the Klogs are more comfortable for me.

I am a 6.5. I wear a 37 in Birki's and a 37 in the Alegria. They run a bit small, so if you are a whole size you might need to size up in a closed toe shoe.

I wear a size 11, and a 42 in Alegria which is also an 11. They fit great. I do go down a size in Klogs.
