OK, I have a dumb question...how picky are the airlines when it comes to the measurement of your tote used as a Personal Carry-On? I have a VB tote I'd like to use - it measures 13"h x 16"w x 6"deep. I keep seeing all these measurements but not sure if mine will pass.
I believe it will absolutely fit under the seat in front of me especially since it can be squished, if necessary. I just want to put my Nook, wallet, phone, etc. in it. I have both a VB Weekender & an XL Duffle that I was gonna use one of them for a regular carry-on for extra clothes out of my suitcase so I can check all my make-up, hair stuff, etc. in my suitcase & not get in trouble with security.
I have not flown in 16 yrs. (pre 9/11)
so I'm not familiar with what they expect. I remember your carry-on had to fit in the metal box at the check-in but they didn't bother your purse or tote as they could visually see it was smaller. I just want to be completely prepared & if this tote won't work I have time to find another. BTW - I'm flying JetBlue roundtrip. Thanks!!
