Re: About that Logo Lock bag

I'm pretty sure that QVC measures based on widest measurement across the whole bag. Meaning laying flat. I noticed that with another non Dooney bag I have. Thanks for measuring. 13 inches is a more manageable size for me.

Wait a minute....A logo lock in croco??? Are you sure it's the same bag or did they offer it in croco before??? I've never seen one. {#emotions_dlg.confused1}

TK it was offered in croco too I had the navy and the color was nice but I didn't like the strap. It just my shoulder a lot and the bottom was too square and structured imo I was always hitting people and knocking things in stores lol

LOL, thanks for the info! Good to know. It does have a very structured bottom, that's true.

No problem. And I gotta measure the bag in other places now to see if it's actually 17 inches wide anywhere else...I have hard time believe that, though!

I think that QVC does measure at the widest laying flat, however, since we don't carry our handbags flat and empty it forms an unrealistic perception of size. Alot of the time though, their sizing is just simply inaccurate unfortunately.

Re: About that Logo Lock bag

The LL in croco was offered a while back as a TSV and then they carried it for a while, but I think eventually cleared it out. Not sure it was as popular as the original, which, of course, they continue to carry... and carry... and carry...

{#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

As for measurements, look at the exact same bag sold by three different retailers and each one will more than likely have different measurements. Sort of a shame that how bags are measured isn't standardized, so we have a better idea what we are getting.

See, this just proves the point - they only advertise the bags which SELL.... it's not THEM, it's the customers that LOVE that bag {#emotions_dlg.sneaky}

And that's true about the different measurements...I noticed that too.....but LL bag is only available on here...and until recently I didn't even care to check because it didn't occur to me that they can be that far off on their measurements!

Re: About that Logo Lock bag

TK, see my post about the LL on the TSV thread... I've never suggested it isn't popular, doesn't sell well or isn't a good bag, just that it isn't for me and that I'm weary of them always featuring the bag in virtually every Dooney show. As you've said yourself, you're relatively new to QVC, but they have been pushing that bag incessantly now for several years, so some regular, longer-term Dooney watchers can't help but roll our eyes when we tune in and see that thing front and center YET again... Hey, it is what it is... and certainly, it's a decent bag with a nicer accessory included. It's just too bad they can't seem to come up with another 'exclusive' that's enough of a winner to give that one a bit of a rest! Clearly, none of the other more recent TSV exclusives has measured up to the success of that one...
