I love love my blush bag but I used it for the first time today and when I looked down at my black jeans, they ere full of blush color shedding! It's a little embarrassing. I know Lisa said the snakeskin would shed but did not hear her mention the blush. Anyone else have this problem?

There is already another thread about this with an excellent answer Yes, LR stated that the tassels especially shed for the first few days and you just shouldn't wear dark colors those days. After that it should stop. The snake bag is also prone to shedding during the first few days. IT WILL STOP (supposedly). Hang in there!

The shedding is from the tassel. I took mine off and shook it gently outside for a bit to get the majority of it off. It should stop soon so wear light colored clothing for the first few times you carry her. She is so beautiful

I would not have a shedding handbag. I don't mean this in a snarky manner. It just seems ridiculous to me. Like the op said, embarrasing.

Does anyone know the best way to get rid of the smell?

If the tassel is leather,what is actually shedding? I had two dooneys with leather little tassels...never shed a shred. I am not being snarky here....just curious?

One of my Dooneys had a chemical smell coming from the inside of the bag. I didn't want to spray anything inside on the lining since it may watermark the lining. So, I stuck a lightly scented dryer sheet in there. I cut up another dryer sheet and put the pieces in the pockets. Worked fine after a couple of days airing.

Another time I had a pretty scented soap bar (verbena) that I liked and wrapped that in tissue and put that in a bag that had a musty smell.

I have Dooneys, Bridgehamptons and Gucci's, never ever had a shred and they all have tassels. I returned my GILI and will never buy another one. I hope those girls who purchased and love the Romas will get their issues rectified and ultimately be satisfied with their purchase.

I have a lot if bags with tassels and never heard of tassels shedding. I cannot believe the problems with this bag...
