@browney.  You can get a good view of the shoe by watching the video of its presentation.  It's definitely a tan color, nowhere near white or off white.

I have these sandals in the biscuit color.  I would not say they are lighter than the picture, but if you can play the video you'll get a better sense over a still picture.  These are suede so they have a nap that affects the way light hits the shoe.  I love mine and I found them comfortable but I don't have any foot issues.  I am usually an 8M but went to an 8W for more room.  Hope this helps.

I finally purchased these sandals in biscuit and the color is just what I wanted. They fit well and I am very happy with them.
