For $700 I can get at least 2 or 3 Brahmins or Dooneys. Why would I want a no name bag that isn't all that pretty. Gosh, I can do a lot with $700 bucks. Mini vacation, redo a bathroom, pedicures for summer at two a month for seven months, a mortgage payment just to name a few. I haven't bought anything from QVC in probably three years.they just don't have anything that speaks to me.

I need $700 CASH to pay for the citizenship. Unfortunately, they don't offer easy pay. Lol.

Add on the shipping and tax, and that bag elevates in price to about $775. Ugh! And I think the shipping charge was about $14.50 (plus tax in my state). So if you get it home and realize that you had a temporary lapse in judgment, that mistake will cost you about $25 in return costs.

What confuses me is this GILI handbag (A252216) that's now selling for $754!!! It started out at $577, then after Lisa left I think it was priced around $699. The price just keeps going up, I just don't get it! Do they think that since Lisa left these things will become more desirable and so they raise the prices?

All of these bags are overpriced. And the tassels look like cat of nine tail whips instead of classy cute tassels. Looks like an accessory to flog someone.

The irony is that QVC hasn't replaced the old videoclip with Lisa Robertson (which I watched) so you can easily see the old price and learn that only 300 bags were made of this item so that it's a limited edition or whatever QVC wants to call it. The videoclip is from more than a year ago from February 2014 as it was done when QVC did their red carpet gig in Hollywood around Oscar time.

So what happened in more than a year? Did QVC make more bags or did they sit in some warehouse for more than a year "appreciating"? Did the U.S. dollar tank against the Chinese currency (since that's where these bags are made)?

Does QVC really think that the customer won't notice a massive price increase (that's supposed to cancel out their new reduced shipping)? That's got to be why all the new videos do not have the prices of the item on them.
