I ate 4 tablespoonfuls LOL then  dumped  it, put the walnuts in a zip lock bag.  Lesson learned.

Somebody asked about why no corn syrup think that's in the  jar of marshmallow creme, part of the shortcut by using the Kraft.

Either go the route of egg whites and syrup or just using the jar of Kraft.

Now, I can't break up that hard sugar in my pot. let it soak, but,it's froze up guess I'll try and melt it down on the stove with water  maybe it will

dissolve. Haven't had this kind of fiasco since I was 20 and left the giblet bag in the turkey. ROFL

Wish I had an answer for you because I remember how delicious the Divinity was when it was ready to eat.  My favorite candy!

humidity is down in the 50's now. I'll strike (LOL) when it goes way down again and time it right this time or until I run out of sugar !!!! LOL

I refuse to give up !

Two things. I have never seen a divinity recipe that did not have corn syrup.  Ratio sort of one syrup to four sugar.  However, you should still never make on a rainy day.  Most importantly, stir only until sugar is dissolved, the continue to cook until reaches desired temp.  If you stir after sugar dissolves, it will get more and more grain. I.e., sugar will reformat sort of.

That divinity that you can buy isn't worth  throwing out , hard as a rock

If a person wants it you just  have to keep at it till you can make yourself

Keeping my eye on humidity levels all day long. Didn't rain, this is tx. LOL just real foggy today

you may want to use a thermoter next time.  and then   check it water boils at 212 (sea level.  you then sub or add a degree if the temp is not spot on.  .  you can look it up on the web to see just how to do it.
