Re: what is your favorite cookbook?

I have that one, @shortbreadlover .  It was my grandmother’s. It’s fun to read, and she had torn recipes from newspapers and magazines from the 30s and 40s and stuck them between the pages.

My husband does most of the cooking and uses several different cookbooks. A couple of his favorites are ones compiled by private organizations.

Re: what is your favorite cookbook?

I cook very little these days but when I cooked, I used mostly tried and true recipes from my mom, MIL, and great aunts. I didn’t need anything else.

My recipes are very limited but I loved to collect cookbooks.

I mostly use recipes that I’ve collected over the years from family, friends , and magazines. I do  love “ Lidia’s Favorite Recipes” by Lidia Bastianich, and of course  my Ina Garten cookbooks.

The original Better Homes& Gardens. I got one when I was married. It got a bit messed up over the years and DH got me a new copy. I didn't like it as many recipes were changed. A couple years later he found one of the old ones in new condition on E-Bay. I use it all the time.

It's one that was from Pan American Airlines .... Around The World Cookbook.

I've been using it since the 1960s.   It was published in the 1950s.
