A ground beef version of Shepherd's Pie-- full of gravy, a variety of vegetables and topped with mashed potatoes, then baked in the oven.

Can't share a specific recipe, because I make it  and season it differently every time, but plenty of recipes can be found online for this  easy and fairly nutritious dish.

Spuds for me, smashed with lots of butter, salt, and pepper, or properly mashed with milk or cream and the same butter, S&P. Nom, nom.

When I was younger, I kept a box of Gerber baby cereal in the cupboard when I felt too sick to eat anything else. It always made me feel better. I don't know if they make it any longer, and since donating my gallbladder to the local hospital, rarely feel the need for something that bland.

Chicken fried steak with cream gravy, mashed tater, creamed corn, homemade biscuits, sweet tea. Pecan pie with vanilla bean ice cream for dessert.

A layered breakfast type casserole, doesn't even have to be in a casserole.  I made one tonight by dishing out some hash browns first, topped with scrambled eggs, shredded cheese, diced leftover roast (can use chicken, bacon or ham or combo) a little sausage gravy and chopped scallions.
