I believe there was another thread dissing that lemon cream pie.  So its a definite no-no for me.

Made a carmelized apple crumb dessert that was an oops recipe. I probably would not be able to recreate, but it was delish! Made it for my oldest son and he scarfed most down before his brother could get much more than a couple of spoonfuls. Smiley Happy Of course, they wanted me to make more and I just shrugged my shoulders and said, maybe next year. LOL.

 

I will try it later for spouse and myself to see if I can recreate it close enough. Right now I'm training for a marathon and I'm not having desserts in the house.

I have tried new recipes for holiday dinners and my family always says they prefer what we usually have...guess it is just what is expected as a tradition...I save the experiments for non-holidays now.
