How often do you replace your spices and where do you buy them?

Buy fresh spices at Penzey's when spices in my cabinet smell like they have lost their aroma.

Not as often as I should.  I like Spice House (they have a website).  Free shipping in their flatpacks.

I order most spices from Penzy's and in my opinion it's worth it.  I go through most things before having to worry about it, but I have some that are several years old.  I always smell and taste the older ones beforehand.  I highly recommend Penzey's Ruth Ann's Muskego Ave Chicken and Fish Seasoning.  It's also great on pork, vegetables and salads.  It's a combination of salt, black pepper, garlic, lemon peel and onion.  I go through it so fast last time I ordered two bags!   Maybe it was just me but one ttime I ranout of onion powder so I bought some at the grocery store, nope!  I noticed the difference.  If you buy enough they offer free shipping.

If you put the bought date on the bottom, you can track them.

@Still Raining  As I take the spice jar off the grocery shelf to drop into my cart, I write that day's date on the label.  I've done this for years, and not just with spices.

Replace as needed; try to buy so I use them up pretty quickly (it depends on the product how long I think that is but I'm always checking and using).

Penzeys, for sure.  And if you like buttermilk ranch dressing, their blend is excellent. Savory and refreshing on a crispy greens salad - yummy with added meat or cheese or egg, too.

For seasonings that I use all the time, I get them at Sams.  For other ones that I rarely use,  when they run out I just get more atWal-mart.I
