I have never cooked sauerkraut before and everyone keeps telling me you have to soak it before cooking it...what does that do?...how long do you soak it?...in what?...do you have to 'refresh' what it is soaking in?
Once it is soaked, what can I cook it in to take away the bitterness?
How long do I cook it?
I have looked in every single cookbook my Mom had and there is not one 'recipe' on sauerkraut so that is why I am looking to this board for help
I want to make the sauerkraut by itself then add it to everything else.
Thank you in advance for your help
