We-- here in the PNW--- have been going thru a week of 90* weather and for here that, is a freaking heat wave!!! We whine alot about it too--big whiners in western WA state:I have 400 fans blowing right now---not really-- but it sounds like it. Yesterday was a cool, cloudy day--was amazing--so thought I would actually cook dinner--so we had lovely grilled sirloin steaks and then---had a tiny cauliflower that needed some love , that I steamed up and DD suggested I add them to the mashed taters I was making---oh my!!! that is a very yummy combo!! Added just a little butter, some milk and s/p, whirled them together and added parm cheese to it--- then a fresh green salad, some berries and it was just what we needed. I try not to cook during the raging heat--whining again---I prepare ahead of time to microwave--any heat in my stupid tiny kitchen makes the whole tiny apt a blast furnace. Heard it will cool down by the weekend----

I guess we have all your cool air. Many days lately our temperatures haven't gotten out of the 70s during the day. And have gone even into the 50's at night.

I saw a recipe on Facebook and gave it a try. I happened to have all the ingredients so that is why I tried it.

Cleaning out the freezer found a turkey breast, I bought for when we had company staying at our house but didn't eat. So put it in a crock pot. Had a box of turkey stuffing, jar of turkey gravy, can a cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, broth and green beans.

My husband had 3 helpings. He said the only thing missing was the cranberry sauce. Can't wait to try it again but will wait a few months maybe November or December. But really was surprised how quick and easy the recipe was to make.
