For those who have mentioned liking the flavor of horseradish, I ran across this recipe in a binder of sandwich recipes:
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tbsp sour cream
1 tbsp refrigerated prepared horseradish
1 tbsp coarse-grain mustard
1 tsp minced garlic
pinch of sugar

I've never made the recipe for FORTY CLOVES OF GARLIC CHICKEN, but the garlic in that dish supposedly doesn't stand out in any obnoxious way, just a flavorful way.
I do know from experience that cooked garlic is much more mellow than raw garlic.

I always replace raw garlic in roasted garlic in dressings, etc. Tastes so much better to me.
