I haven't had them, but it seems caramel apples can mean only bad things for your teeth.  And then there is the risk of listeria.

I have ordered them in the past and have enjoyed them, as have the recipients I have given them to. I tend to like the candy bar type better, but the ones with the chocolate chips/peanutbutter chips are good also. I like to slice them and share.

I have been buying them as gift items for several years, and they are always well received.  One of my closest friends is always hopeful for an apple, as this is something she would never buy for herself.   I have 2 different sets ordered for this year, so I do think they are worth buying.

As for the listeria issue, Mrs Prindables apples were not affected by this last year.  Until there is any type of contamination issue associated with this specific product, I will be buying them every year.  I had 2 orders of apples last year, and we gifted them, and ate them as usual, despite the level of paranoia that existed on this board.   I was not worried then, and have no reason to be worried now.

Over the years we have tried various assortments and really enjoyed them.  We prefer the ones with nuts, toffee and/or chips over the candy and candy bar ones.  Our favorite that we would get again is the toffee lovers.  The apples are always fresh, crisp and juicy.  We usually share and get at least two shared (4 total servings per apple), but have been known to polish off a whole one without sharing.  If you break it down that way pricewise it is not so bad especially with the shipping included.  If you try them and don't like them or have a problem you can let customer service know and they will take care of it.  We let them set at room temperature for about 20 - 30 minutes and then slice and eat.  The carmel is wonderful and does not stick to your teeth if you let them sit, I am sure it would be a little harder straight out of the fridge.

They are wonderful.  Haven't had any for a while, but they have some this year with nuts which are my favorite.  Have some on order for Dec.  It is easy to cut, and everyone enjoys them.

Everytime I have had one it has been a tasty treat. And I look forward to them every year. I do not buy them for myself. I am no longer in a comfortable financial position - like I once was. BUT I do have friends that "threat me". And I enjoy my friends good taste and kind thoughts.

I know many people really like them but they were a big disappointment for me.  I don't like fighting my way through all tthat goo on the outside to get to the Apple, which is my main focus.  Ill take my apples plain.
