if you know how to read the numbers on the caton, you can tell just how fresh your eggs are and when they were packed. just google egg codes for more info
When eggs were packed and how long they've been in cold storage warehouse prior to being packed = 2 different things.
Milk: have you ever seen huge tanker containers drain off fresh milk from a farm? What's up with all the farm product interest? Just wondering................
@shortbreadlover, if you were ever able to buy farm fresh eggs from the local farmers, you would think differently. Sorry you have no interest in farm production....family farmers are sorry too. I normally try to buy from our local dairies carried at local stores instead of the big conglomerates. But to each her own. Hubby bought a 1/2 gallon of Walmart milk last week -- it's cheaper but next week I'll buy the local brand, as well as local eggs..
