Not versed in dumplings. Do you put them in beef stew or mostly in soup?

@AuntG    The only time my mom ever fixed dumplins was  when she cooked collards...just before the collards were done, she'd fix them and put them gently  on the top of the collards to cook...omg...best thing ever !  (I miss my mom..sniff sniff)

Made the dumplings using sour cream recipe, oh they were so good recipe is a keeper, thank you for posting it.
