We don'e have a Kroger's but I always shop there when I am in Ann Arbor.  I really like the store and they have a really nice selection of items, many more items than can be found at our local grocery.

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!

Our local Smith's is so crowded and crammed full of merchandise to the ceiling that it gives me claustrophobia.  It's right in the middle of an enclave of apartments and homes for seniors.  You take your life in your hands if you venture into the parking lot....the way those people drive!  I'm a senior too but I don't drive "by ear".

They have the nicest produce and toughest meat.

Yes, I do. My only choices are Kroger and Wal Mart. Honestly, the shoppers at wal mart have gotten so rough lately, I won't go at night by myself. Just wild.

Frys Makertplace (Kroger owns them) wow huge store sells food. clothes & kitchen items. I have frys mastercard & earn points which 4 times a year with my spending . I get cash back which usually is around $60 4 times a year for free groceries, shoppers download coupons always check a few times a week sometimes they add new coupons. One day a month senior day 10% also fuel points too. Facebook has their preview sale items on Monday usually the ad doesn't come out til Wednesday also facebook free Friday item which can be used that week not just Fridays download it into your shoppers card. I have a Frys closer but not the marketplace but choose to go a littler farther away for the marketplace. The other grocery stores are Albertson & Safeway which to me are more expensive.

Re: do you like to shop at kroger's

We do our grocery shopping at Kroger.  The $1.00 off on gas prices helps alot.  I actually do like some of the store brands better than name brands; for example, Kroger brand canned potatoes for a quick meal with eggs.  Kroger brand chunky applesauce is actually chunky, more so than Motts brand.  They frequently offer 4 x gas points on gift cards and we buy the cards for restaurants we frequent and other places and that ups the discount on gas.

@Kachina624  You just described the one that recently opened fairly close to me.    I went ONCE......and left emptyhanded.    The whole scene was a madhouse.     Happy Thanksgiving, di

Re: do you like to shop at kroger's

Where we live there are no Kroger's. But when we go on vacation there is a Kroger's. We really like the store. The selection is huge and the people working there are so helpful.

They had precooked shrimp. And we were thinking about having shrimp cocktail as an appetizer. There were only two of us. And the packages had the sauce and shrimp in a beautiful display. But too much for two. The guy heard us talking and said he would make up a tray for us with the exact amount of shrimp and sauce that we wanted. Plus, they were so helpful in selecting and preparing our main course.

We didn't have beer and wine at the time in our grocery but at the Kroger's they had a huge selection. We were overwhelmed with the selection. We were looking and not sure what to pick. An employee asked if they could help us. And helped us pick out different craft beers from the area.

That interaction would never happen in our local grocery stores.
