Re: church auction cake/casserole fundraiser ideas

I just don't know about an auction for food in these post pandemic days.

Me, either.   Years ago I stopped buying Girl Scout cookies because the price went up and the boxes got smaller.   I felt so ripped off!  So, I no longer buy them ... but always give them a donation.

Same with "potluck" items from unknown kitchens.  I would make a donation and not take the item.    That way, they are selling one casserole twice and I don't have to take questionable food home with me.

JMO, of course ... it's what works for me.

@Tinkrbl44 I think in days long past I have been involved in these types of auctions where a donation is given, but no one has to cook. Great idea!!

Re: church auction cake/casserole fundraiser ideas

auction went really well. several people big the item up, and said "sell it again" meaning they just wanted to make the donation. and it got re-bid upon.

My cheesecake brought in $130 bid!  desserts went was better/higher bids than casseroles.  We are having one tonite. something called a Rotel cheese lasagna.  No clue.

i'm sure it will be delicious.
