Does anyone have a recipe for a choc pie crust?  I tasted one at an Italian bakery and would love to try.  Thank you

The easiest way is to buy chocolate wafer cookies and smash them up in a food processor or with a rolling pin.

FYI............Google is a good resource. Enjoy. Love choc cream pies, homemade of course.

This one is my favorite Choco crust.  It's great for peanutbutter pie and easy to make.

If you add one to two tablespoons of COCOA POWDER, you can make anything chocolate.

My recipe for a 9-inch crust:

1 3/4 cups chocolate Teddy Grahams, crushed

3 tbsp brown sugar

5 tbsp butter, melted

Stir together, press in buttered pie dish, and bake in 375 degree oven for 8 minutes.

@Carmie  That oreo pie crust sounds delicious! Quick question: do I remove the cream from the oreos before I pulse them in the food processor or do I keep the cream in the oreos? Have a great Saturday! 🤗

@deepwaterdotter  Ooh a chocolate Teddy Graham crust sounds delicious too!

@SportyShorty07   You leave the cream in the Oreos. This makes them easy to work with....tastes good too.

@Carmie  Thanks a billion for answering my oreo pie crust question, Carmie! Leaving the cream in the oreos sounds delicious 🙌😄. I'll use your oreo chocolate pie crust recipe the next time I make a chocolate cream pie 😊.

@WORKING GAL

Here's the classic recipe that I've used for the chocolate cream pie filling. This is a great one because a lot of people have these ingredients at home in the pantry or fridge. I love cooking with Eagle or Carnation brand sweetened condensed milk for this delicious type of pie. Enjoy 💗😊

Chocolate Cream Pie

1 9-inch oreo pie crust or chocolate pastry pie crust (baked and cooled if needed)

3 ounces of semi sweet or unsweetened baking chocolate

1 (14 ounce) can of Sweetened Condensed Milk

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 cup hot water

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup whipping cream (will need additional whipped cream to top the chocolate filling)

-shaved or grated chocolate on top of the cream pie for decoration

Steps to make it:

1) In a heavy saucepan over medium heat, melt chocolate, salt and sweetened condensed milk.  Cook and stir with a whisk until very thick and fudgy (this will take 5 to 8 minutes).

2) Add  1/4 cup hot water and continue to cook and stir until thickened and bubbly.

3) Remove from heat and stir in 1 tsp vanilla extract. Cool for 15 minutes.  Chill thoroughly for 20 to 40 minutes, and stir.

4) Take out a large mixing bowl and beat 1 cup of whipping cream until stiff.

5) Fold whipping cream into the cool chocolate mixture.

6) Pour the finished mixture into the oreo crust or the chocolate pastry crust.

7) Chill for 3 hours in the fridge until it is set..

8) Garnish with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.  Eat a big slice 🤗
