cake with filling pairings

doing a celebration cake, and i would like to fill it with something yummy.. i could use some ideas. 

normally i might do white cake with strawberries, and whipped cream, but being january, thats not really a option. (not a fan of frozen fruit) anyone have a good idea of a pairing?

Chocolate cake, vanilla custard (pudding) filling, with a chocolate glaze outside =  Boston Cream Pie.

You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

No reason to not use strawberries and whipped cream!

 

Just had some fresh strawberries this morning.  Delish!

I'd use blueberries and pineapple, or blueberries and raspberries.
