? about Ranch Oyster Crackers.......sort of

I don't know if any of you have ever made these, but I used to make them years ago. They are so good! I have a similar recipe that uses a BBQ type of seasoning that I got at a craft show. I just love them, but the recipe calls for 1/2 cup of oil....UGH! That is just too much fat and calories!! I have to admit, though, that they don't taste oily when they are done.

Anyhow, I am trying to think of a way to make these crackers using less oil or another ingredient. I'm not sure how well the seasoning would stick to the crackers if you just used less oil.

Does a anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!
