We always do a ham, au gratin potatoes, scalloped pineapple and some kind of salad.

My mother used to make roast beef and yorkshire pudding, not for Christmas but I thought of that. It is very deliciously memorable! (if you are not a vegetarian).

We get a tri tip from Costco. Throw it in the crockpot and make Ruth Chris sweet potato casserole and a veggie.

How about Mexican or Italian, steaks on the grill?

I have considered prime rib. They can be found on special if you watch the ads. Baked potatoes and roasted asparagus could mean a lot less prep.

Maybe a beautiful lasagna with a gorgeous salad? Luscious shrimp cocktail for appetizer or

charcuterie with olives, hummus, different cheeses, caponata.

A taco and or baked potato, pizza bar-make your own.

My daughter will be cooking steaks.  It's what her husband wants and I don't have to cook,  Win/win.
