Wine in cake?

A friend gave me a recipe for a delicious cake that has wine in it.  She didn't tell me what kind of wine to put in it, any suggestions? TIA

update:   NEVERMIND, I FOUND THE RECIPE ONLINE - IT IS DELISH, IN CASE ANYONE WANTS TO TRY IT ...IT CAN BE FOUND AT :

JESSICAODONOHUE. ....AND IT'S CALLED 'CRACK CAKE' (WINE CAKE)

@sarahpanda   Thank you, will have to try it.  The only alcohol I have used in cake is Rum.

A neighbor of mine made a cake with white wine in it .. it

was fabulous ....
