I just ran across this recipe in my mom's old Searchlight cookbook and thought what a nice idea it is for a dinner party or even Thanksgiving. I'd want to season the wild rice somewhat, maybe add a little butter, nuts., etc.

Wild Rice Timbales

Wash rice. Cover with cold water. Soak 1 hour. Steam until tender. Add butter, salt, and pepper to taste.

Shape in small buttered molds.

Place 1 teaspoonful of currant jelly on each timbale. Garnish with chopped parsley.

If desired, brown rice may be substituted for wild rice.
