Help! I bought a Panasonic Rice Cooker (never owned a cooker before) and it called for 1 cup water to 1 cup brown rice.
When I came home (much later than expected) the rice had been on warm for 4 hours...but I have heard that shouldn't make any difference. Anyway, when I tasted it, it was gummy. I did stir it around in the pan as suggested, but no difference.
I have read on line anywhere from 1 to 2 cups of water for every 1 cup of rice.
If you use a rice cooker, how does your brown rice turn out and what amount of water to rice do you use?
I love the convenience of the cooker and would like to keep it. I just need to know any tips that might make my brown rice more appealing. BTW, I just got the cooker and have not tried white rice yet.
TIA
Blessings,
Jan
