Yesterday I wanted to make meatloaf but the 2 lb. package of hamburger was frozen solid. So I decided to try something new. I opened the package, rinsed off the meat and placed the frozen block in a shallow baking dish. Then I poured a can of Manwich sloppy joe mix over it.
Put some scrubbed potatoes on the oven rack above it and turned on the oven.
Fixed a 3-bean salad with a can of diced tomatoes added and some Catalina dressing.
Everything turned out delicious!
Then today I thought of something I fix in one pot on the stove top which incorporates boiled elbow macaroni, ground beef, cut green beans, kidney beans, diced tomatoes, black olives and V8 or tomato juice.
Thought the leftover meat, sloppy joe sauce and the 3-bean salad would be perfect mixed together with cooked elbow macaroni and a can of black olives. Fixed some garlic bread and sprinkled Romano cheese over the dish.
It turned out great!!!
