Re: What's for Dinner Tonight? Sunday Oct. 1

Having the taco's we were going to have the other night, but we went out to eat with friends instead. Both quite fun!

We had hot roast beef sandwiches, mashed potatoes, and roasted broccoli.  Today was the day to put up security camers, power wash the shed, and start power washing the house.  I needed something easy and it was delicious.

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!

In the oven right now: roast whole chicken and roasted cubes of butternut squash.

No need to burn a candle tonight- it smells good in the house!

Re: What's for Dinner Tonight? Sunday Oct. 1

We went to our in-laws house for dinner as it was my father-in-law's birthday.

My mother-in-law cooked a delicious turkey dinner with all the trimmings...turkey,mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, squash, rolls...even a small lasagna!

We then had birthday cake I made, an apple and pecan spice cake with an orange cream cheese frosting.

Must exercise tomorrow!! Smiley Happy

Tonight I had a black bean burger with avocado, red onion, and mustard; steak fries with ketchup; and a glass of Cabernet.  And a dill pickle spear.

Last night I had tacos.  Tonight it is spaghetti.

A friend gave us 2 eggplants from his garden.  DH made his first ever eggplant parmesian.  He used Bertoli for the sauce, but it was good.

He realizes now he could have gone three thicknesses instead of two.  I was just amazed since I'm the one who pushes vegies.Smiley Happy
