Re: What's Your Favorite Pumpkin Recipe?

@BirdieGal

Does this soup freeze well?  Was not sure with the cream and sour cream.  I like to have several different kinds of soup frozen in individual serving size all fall and winter.  Always looking for a new one.

I actually have never frozen it. It does make quite a lot but I usually pass some along. If you decide to try it maybe portion out one bowl to freeze and try it.

Re: What's Your Favorite Pumpkin Recipe?

The most perfectly spiced pumpkin pie recipe is on the back of the Libby's canned plain pumpkin.  The pumpkin pie mix or whatever is not balanced.

I taught Foods and  Adv. Foods and have tasted and seen reactions from thousands of recipies. The recipe the students ate was on the back of the can. Sorry I don't have one, and I have to see an actual can before I trust it to a site!

That is the one I always return to but with the addition of a little Chinese 5 spice!

Love the Pumpkin Dump Cake recipe that you posted.  Do you use the new smaller box of cake mix?  TIA

Re: What's Your Favorite Pumpkin Recipe?

This recipe for pumpkin pie.  The mixture comes together so easily and it has an amazing taste.  It is the black pepper!!!

I do make one change from the recipe.  I blind bake the pie crust before adding the pie mixture.
