"Crack" refers to it being so good that it's addictive @depglass .

@lolakimono is right, when it comes to a food dish, calling it 'crack' means it's addicting.

I love 'crack bacon', which is bacon sprinkled with brown sugar (maybe a little cayenne if you like spicy) and baked in the oven.....yum!

It's a crazy expression used to indicate that, like the drug 'crack', this chicken is supposedly so addictingly delicious.  It's expressed in much the same inane ways  as "to die for" and "makes your want to slap your" mother" are used.

If you follow the blogger "Plain Chicken" she uses the term "crack" a lot!   It's just her way of saying she has added ranch, bacon and cheddar cheese to the recipe she is presenting.
