What is a good sub for jalapeno peppers?

I love hot and spicy but don't care for jalapenos.  What can I sub in recipes to give the approximate amount of heat?

Jalapenos are really not considered hot, good subs might be serrano or anaheim or poblano

@depglass  I like hot banana peppers and hot cherry peppers.  Both nice and hot!!!
