What department is Ranch seasoning in?

Spices?  Salad dressings?  I have a rush shopping trip tomorrow morning and I want to try that Mississippi pot roast.  Won't have time to scour the store.

It's in the "salad dressing" aisle at my local grocery store.

@depglass  My store has it in two places but same isle. Top shelf of Salad Dressing and top shelf but to the left of spices.  Go figure.

It's the powdered ranch dressing mix.

In my Publix, it's with the salad dressing, as @Kachina624 mentioned it's the dry Hidden Valley Ranch seasoning mix.

@depglass   I would phone ahead to the store you are going to tomorrow and ask them, first, if they have it in stock, and in which aisle will you find it?

That way you won't have to stop at the courtesy desk when you go in or wander around  trying to find it only to learn it is not in stock.  It comes in envelopes of salad mix, or dip mix, and there is also a canister form now.

I think you want the salad dressing envelope for your roast, at least that's what I've always used.  As someone else mentioned the dip mix is much more salty.  The gravy it makes is reaally, really delicious.  I love it over mashed potatoes or noodles.

Best,
