go for it! I use cranberries sometimes on place of the raisins

@northiie57 I think I will try adding some bacon bits to a little bit of it and see how it tastes.  And yes, not a fan of raisins so will go with the cranberries.  This recipe will be good with pork chops, chicken and turkey.  Excited to make this!

Hands down, my favorite fall/winter recipe is CHILI!!!!  My late husband was a high school coach, and we have 3 athletic boys.  I would make chili for the first home football game  every Fall (and many Friday nights there after).  (Always served with homemade cinnamon rolls for dessert, another family favorite!)  Chili is also always on the menu for my annual Christmas luminary party.  Sometimes I just crave it and have been known to make chili in the Summer, just for myself.
