WOW ....another year has flown past!!! As we are nearing the holidays I thought it would be fun to share recipes you make on the holidays. I know there are some great cooks on this board, so please share some of the recipes you make.
5 pounds potatoes
1 stick Butter Softened and Cubed
1 Cup Sour Creaam
1 Cup Heavy Cream
8 Slices Bacon
1 ½ Cups Panko Bread Crumbs
1 Cup Cheddar Cheese Shredded

That sounds good!

My nearest relative is 3,000 miles away....and I don't plan on flying. I "might" order a pizza....

@LilBitMissty Your potatoes sound fabulous.
Easy Corn Pudding
2 eggs
1 cup (8 oz) sour cream
2/3 cup butter melted
1 box jiffy corn mix 8.5 oz or a similar brand
1 can 14.5 oz cream corn
1 15.25 oz can whole kernel corn
Preheat oven to 350 and spray a 9x13 pan with nonstick spray or use butter. Mix all ingredients in a mixing bowl. Pour into prepared pan and bake 350 for 30 to 35 minutes
Would not be a holiday without this on the table. 😋

@godi This is very good, I have made it several times. However, I was just reading different versions of this and a few called for using the liquid from the whole kernel corn, have you heard of this?

Haven't decided on sides yet, but definitely making Hubby's favorite turkey:

Just me this year so probably not much of anything, I might buy a very small turkey breast but honestly whats the point.

It's just the two of us as usual so I'm still making a turkey and all the rest because we like the leftovers. We thought about going out but changed our mind. Stay home, open the back door, light the fire pit and eat outside.

@Miss Pepsi The point is being thankful. At the least, maybe just be thankful that we have means to connect with others on boards like this instead of being isolated.
I myself may be alone this year and I'm thinking Turkey Picatta.

@Miss Pepsi I am so sorry about the recent loss of your husband. Naturally, your profound grief has you feeling this way. There are many stages to grief and it ebbs and flows. Some moments will be better than others. Just know that you will slog through this. You are in the minds and prayers of so many here, including me.
With warmest thoughts and a virtual hug,
