Wanted: a unique twist for split pea soup

I hae a special twist for my bean soups:

black bean soup-small amount of chipolte peppers & adobo sauce

Navy bean soup-drop of toasted sesame oil added just before serving

Any ideas for a unique twist & taste for split peas soup!
