3 cups unsifted all-purpose flour

2 cups sugar

1/2 cup Hershey's cocoa

2 tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

2 cups water

3/4 cup vegetable oil

2 Tbsp vinegar

2 tsp vanilla extract

Combine flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, and salt in a large mixer bowl. Add water, oil, vinegar, and vanilla. Beat 3 minutes at medium speed until thoroughly blended. Pour batter into a greased and floured 9x13-inch pan.

Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes or until cake tester inserted in center comes out clean.

Cool and frost with the following frosting.

Frosting

2 small pkgs pistachio Jell-O instant pudding

1/4 cup confectioners sugar

1 cup cold milk

1 (8oz) tub Cool Whip-thawed

Combine pudding mix, sugar, and milk in a bowl. Beat slowly with rotary beater or lowest speed of electric mixer until well blended...about 1 minute. Fold in cool whip. Spread on cake at once.

Store cake in refrigerator.
