WHAT KIND OF SALAD DO YOU SERVE WITH AN ITALIAN MEAL?

We are invited to friends for a holiday Italian meal and I offered to bring a salad. My first instinct was to make a Ceasar Salad, but am second-guessing my decision.

Any suggestions?
