Re: Vitamix recipes - ????

[ Edited ]

Thought I remembered David doing the chocolate PB one.  He actually did frozen yogurt not ice cream but just substitute milk for the yogurt and you get the other.

Peanut Butter Frozen Yogurt

Serves 2–4

David's Note:
  • Store-bought frozen yogurts are often loaded with sugar and preservatives. Make a better frozen treat—overnight!

This recipe is prepared with the Vitamix 64-oz Professional Series 13-in-1 Variable Speed Blender (K41953).

Go to David's Recipe Item Page for the full list of items that David has used in his recipes.

Peanut Butter Frozen Yogurt
Ingredients:
  • Peanut Butter:
  • 1-1/2 cups honey-roasted peanuts
  • 1-1/2 cups dry-roasted peanuts
  • Frozen Yogurt:
  • 1/3 cup yogurt
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 2 cups 2% milk, frozen in ice cube trays overnight
Preparation:
    • To prepare the peanut butter, place all the peanuts into the Vitamix. Begin at a slow speed and slowly increase the speed to high. Using the tamper, push the nuts into the blades and run for a minute, or until you have smooth peanut butter. Refrigerate overnight.

  • To prepare the frozen yogurt, place the yogurt, honey, vanilla extract, peanut butter, and frozen milk cubes into the blender as listed. Begin at slow speed and gradually increase the speed to high, using the tamper to push the ingredients into the blades at the same time. Blend for 30–40 seconds. Serve immediately.

I have not seen the Lemon Broccoli soup recipe. Maybe someone else has it. More Vitamix Recipes on QVC at these links. There was a discussion about it at the link below. Someone experimented & came up with a recipe if you want to try it.

I found this Lemony Broccoli Soup online.

         10-Minute, Lemony Broccoli Soup

  • 1 small head of broccoli, washed and chopped (I used most of the stems, too)
  • 1 small red onion, chopped roughly
  • 1-1/2 cups vegetable stock or chicken stock  (I had some in the freezer)
  • juice of half a lemon
  • salt & pepper, to taste
  • small handful of raw almonds

Steam the broccoli. Cool. Reserve a few of the florets for later.

Add all ingredients except the almonds to your Vitamix. Be sure the lid is on tight. Start the motor on low speed (1), and gradually increase it to high (9 or 10) and let it run for about 3 minutes. The soup should be very, very smooth—and pretty hot.

Taste, and adjust the seasoning. Add the almonds, which, when ground, will add a lovely, nutty creaminess without adding actual cream. Replace the lid and process on high for another minute.

Serve immediately over the reserved florets or save in the fridge of a couple days.

Makes two servings. Or one really big one.

Seriously. Fresh soup in 10 minutes.
