I went searching on the Internet for Vitamix Tomato Basil Soup to see if somebody somewhere had posted the soup you saw demonstrated (although I didn't try YouTube). Here are the best of what I found. Maybe this will help you recreate a soup you'd like.
Vitamix 10 Minute Tomato Soup
(Susie Hanks Swain)
1 small onion
1 tbsp olive oil
3 cloves garlic
28 oz can basil tomatoes
28 oz can tomatoes
3 tbsp heavy cream
salt & pepper
Saute onion. Place all in Vitamix. Blend till warm and serve.
Vitamix Tomato Soup
8-10 Roma Tomatoes
6 basil leaves
3 cloves of garlic
3 Tbl. olive oil
1 sweet onion
Mix all of the ingredients well in your Vitamix machine until warm and smooth

5 Ingredient Tomato-Basil Soup
1 large onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp canola oil
One 28-oz can crushed tomatoes, preferably local
1 handful basil leaves, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
Heat a large stock pot or saucepan over medium heat. Add the canola oil and heat through. Add the onion and garlic and saute until translucent, about 10 minutes. Stir frequently, to prevent burning.
Add the crushed tomatoes, and fill the can up with water. Add the water and bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce to a simmer, add the basil and cook for 20 minutes. Puree with an immersion blender or in a standing blender.
Serve with hunks of fresh bread or grilled cheese.

Five Minute Tomato Basil Soup
3 medium ripe tomatoes
3 sun-dried tomato slices
2 stalks of celery
a pinch of onion powder
a pinch of garlic powder
1-2 sprigs basil
1/2 avocado
sea salt to taste
Cut the tomatoes in half and put in blender. (I use a VitaMix which is a high speed blender. If you do not have a high speed blender you may need to add extra water to help the mixture blend OR you may want to try using a food processor instead). Add sun dried tomatoes and blend until smooth.
While the blender is still going, add the celery, sea salt, onion and garlic powder and keep blending until fully incorporated. Then add the basil and continue to blend.
Finally, add the avocado and blend for just a few seconds to combine. That’s it, your soup is done!
*If you’re using a VitaMix, the longer you blend in the first step, the warmer your soup will be. If you are not using a VitaMix and would like to heat your soup, you can do so over the stove top.

I think this is one of the best soups to make in the Vitamix (or other high powered blender) since it’s such a smooth soup. It is easily veganized with the use of almond milk or other milk substitutes.
Blender Tomato Basil Soup
Prep Time: 6 minutes Cook Time: 6 minutes Total Time: 12 minutes Yield: 3 cups
8-10 Roma tomatoes (or 2 15 ounce cans of diced tomatoes) 6 large fresh basil leaves (can use one t of dried basil) 1/2 onion 3-6 cloves of garlic 2 T olive oil 1 t salt 1/2 cup almond milk
Optional, sautée onion and garlic in olive oil over medium heat until onions are translucent (skip if you want a raw soup, and reduce the amount of onion and garlic, starting small and adding to taste since raw onion and garlic are VERY strong).
Place all ingredients in a high powered blender or food processor until combined. If you want a hot soup, blend for 6 minutes in the Vitamix. This brings the temperature to 120 degrees f. If you want a truly raw soup, don't blend as long. Alternatively, after blending you can warm soup in a pot on the stove top over medium heat, but do not bring to a boil.
Serve with a sprinkle of nutritional yeast or Parmesan cheese, additional milk or water if desired, and enjoy!
