If you want to print the recipe just search online for Vitamix Black Bean Soup.  Here it is:

Ingredients

  • 3 cups (720 ml) low sodium vegetable broth
  • 1½ cup (390 g) black beans, canned, drained and rinsed; divided
  • 1½ cup (380 g) canned chickpeas, rinsed, drained
  • ½ small (60 g) onion, sauteed, chopped, peeled
  • 3 medium garlic cloves, roasted
  • ½ lime, peeled
  • 1 small small jalapeño, halved, seeded
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • ⅓ medium (40 g) red bell pepper, sliced, seeded
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. Place vegetable stock, 3/4 cup (155g) black beans, chickpeas, onion, garlic, lime juice, jalapeño pepper, and seasonings into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
  2. Start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed.
  3. Blend for 5 minutes 45 seconds, or until heavy steam escapes from vented lid.
  4. Reduce speed to Variable 3 and remove the lid plug. Add the remaining black beans and red bell pepper through the opening.
  5. Blend for an additional 5 seconds. Serve immediately.
Notes

Jalapeño may be omitted if you do not want any spice in your soup. Try adding roasted corn kernels as a garnish to give some crunch to your soup. Additional vegetable broth may be added initially or blended in at the end if you desire a thinner soup.

Re: Vitamix Black Bean Soup

[ Edited ]

This recipe is from today's Vitamix tsv page, "on air recipes".  It shows starting the recipe with half the amount of broth compared to the recipe above.  See note at bottom of this recipe.

Black Bean Soup
Ingredients
o 1½ cup (360 ml) low sodium vegetable broth
o ¾ cup (195 g) black beans, canned, drained and rinsed; divided
o ¾ cup (190 g) canned chickpeas, drained and rinsed
o ¼ small (30 g) onion, sautéed, chopped, peeled
o 1½ medium garlic cloves, roasted
o ¼ lime, peeled
o ½ small jalapeño, halved, seeded
o ½ teaspoon ground cumin
o ½ teaspoon kosher salt, optional
o ⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper, optional
o ¼ cup (45 g) red bell pepper, chopped
Directions
1. Place vegetable stock, 1/3 heaping cup (80g) black beans, chickpeas, onion,
garlic, lime juice, jalapeño pepper, and seasonings into the Vitamix container in
the order listed and secure lid.
2. Start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed.
3. Blend for 7 minutes 30 seconds, or until heavy steam escapes from vented lid.
4. Reduce speed to Variable 3 and remove the lid plug. Add the remaining black
beans and red bell pepper through the opening.
5. Blend for an additional 5 seconds. Serve immediately.
Notes
Jalapeño may be omitted if you do not want any spice in your soup. Try adding roasted
corn kernels as a garnish to give some crunch to your soup. Additional vegetable broth
may be added initially or blended in at the end if you desire a thinner soup

P.S.  This recipe makes a smaller batch of soup.
