Made this tonight and we just finished eating it. We enjoying it spread over NY deli sesame seed bagels. It was absolutely delicous, and my husband and I really enjoyed the fresh taste with no additives, or preservatives.
Just good old fashioned peanut butter.

We love making fresh peanut butter in our Vitamix!

I have yet to try this. I am down to my last jar of store bought natural PB so it may be my next thing to try.

I make peanut butter often but I like some salt in it. I HATE cleaning the Vitamix after making peanut butter!

I have yet to serve home made peanut butter in my VItamix to someone who did not rave about it.
It may be a bit of a hassle to clean the Vitamix container out since the peanut butter contianer residue is sticky, but with a little soaking and Dawn dish liquid which cuts through sticky residue and grease, eventually it is easily removed, and well worth the effort.
"The VItamix actually cleans itself after the container has soaked in Dawn liquid and hot water a bit, and then with a few rinses of hot water the container will again remove any left over residue, and be like brand new again".

The clean up is what has stopped me from trying it before but I think I may take the plunge! I'll have to buy some peanuts and get brave. ![]()

If you are going to try make it be sure to have a nice apple to cut up and dip in the warm peanut butter! Almost makes it worth cleaning the Vita Mix!

The beauty of the Vitamix is the easy clean up. Scrape out your peanut butter then make a banana chocolate peanut butter smoothie, or vanilla and peanut butter. Then just a little bit of Dawn and water and that will finish the clean up.
No no waste and delicious!
