I get daily recipes from various sources ... almost all delicious.

Just got a vegetarian chili from allrecipes dot com.

Lots of beans, corn, bell pepper, celery, tomatoes and spices ..

Guess what I'm making on Thursday?

The recipe is called "Grandma's Slow Coooker Vegetarian Chili"

Veggie chili is the only kind I make.  Sometimes I add TVP and my meat friends adore it.  They cannot believe the TVP is veggie and not meat.  Giggles.

That sounds delicious.  I am making chili this week too.

My DH does not like beans in chili.  He likes extra meat and no beans and he likes it mild...I like a little heat. I compromise and use a small amount of beans and add heat at the table for me...my favorite part.

I love anything made with beans.

Just checking in to let you know I made this yesterday (meatless Friday food) and it was a snap to make ... and tastes great.

Prep was easy ... about 10 minutesJust had to cut up onion and pepper ... the rest was opening cans and draining and rinsing beans, and measuring some spices/herbs.

I cut back on the tablespoon of chili powder to a teaspoon.

This would be a great dish to take to a pot luck.
