Vacuum storage bags?

I once bought these from QVC, many years ago. None of them held their vacuum and some split at the zip lock part. Have these gotten any better? Has anyone had any recent success with these? I see QVC has them for sale, but no video to demonstrate.

@2Kittys ..you posted in RECIPES so I am assuming you are asking about a food saver, not the type for clothing or bedding...??

 

I have both types.  The VACUUM one for clothing works good for me.  I guess when the seasonal clothing exchange happens I would have to admit the seal is not as tight but it is still tight.  My bags are incorporated into a zippered cloth cube.  I have four of them, they fit nicely under the bed.

 

The FOOD storage sealer also works really well.  I have had mine for years.

DH uses the ones we got from HSN, Debbie Meyer.  He's been using them for years with no problems.
