RE:  Blue Jean Chef

I am looking for the recipe for the apple pie that you start in a frying pan and then invert it onto a plate.  Could someone help me?  It was featured on a video over Xmas.  Looked delicious and easy to make!

Thanks

Strange this tarte has none of the usual Apple Pie spices, no cinnamon, nothing.  Sounds very bland.  That coupled with the strong possibility of getting a bad burn from flipping it onto a plate will dissuade me from making it.  I thought it looked flat and not all that great.

Maybe I have the wrong dish....I thought it had brown sugar and some other good stuff but now that I read the recipe it does look a bit boring...I tune in and out watching so I must have the wrong one or my wires are crossed... Maybe I got it mixed up with the potato dish she made....I was also side tracked w/ the color blue....she had those cute bottles in the window sill....

I would like this since I don't particularly care for the usual apple pie spices.  I always just use brown sugar and butter.  The browning of the white sugar will give a carmelized taste also.

It doesn’t have apple pie spices, because it’s not an apple pie it’s a French tart tatin. Made for hundreds of years, I’m sure her version is a really good and easy one. If you desperately miss your apple pie spices put them in!
