The artichokes were cooking faster than the chicken and were done.  I removed them from the pan.  I put the chicken back in and then there were small flames coming off the pan.  They quickly went away but I was scared and nervous.  Thank goodness I stayed close to oven.  As a whole, the artichokes and chicken was delicious.  Even my husband liked it and he doesn't really eat either.  I'd like to make it again but a bit nervous to.  Thanks everyone for your help.

I am glad everything turned out. I have a Ninja Air Fryer and it has an air broil feature on it. I know you have to be careful with a broiler because sometimes the food burns before it is cooked.

@ScrapHappy  I don't use the broiler for much cooking, but I do use it for cooking bacon.  I always put a bit of water in the bottom of my broiler pan..

I used a sheet pan to broil the chicken and artichokes.  The artichokes were cooking a lot faster than the chicken so I took them out.  Once that happen, a little flame came off the sheet pan.  It went out on its own.  My daughter really liked the chicken artichoke recipe and I want to make it again but nervous.  I'm thinking to cook at lower temp and not as close from the top like the recipe said to do.
